Being involved in sport is not something I have been doing for my whole life, sport is all still new to me. When I was younger I always enjoyed the musical atmosphere – though when I hit 11 I instantly fell in love with Ice Skating. Ice skating to me involves not only sport but music. It’s a way to express yourself and your desires to show the world who you are and what you want to become.
I’ve made a lot of compromises throughout my skating career in order to be the best version of myself. At the beginning of 2021, I went over to Adelaide, South Australia to train with Australia’s best coach where I spent the majority of my time this year which has been the most amazing experience learning how to jump the quad jumps!
I have always had one goal and one goal in particular “make it to the olympics” though this is not an easy job done, it’s the goal of my dreams – making it to the olympic stage would be the greatest thrilling feeling in the world. To get to the Olympics I need to be doing a lot of international competitions to build my platform as an athlete. Recently I went over to Budapest (Hungary) for a senior and junior competition where I placed 4th in the junior and 6th in the senior! one of my biggest international competitions of the year but it was also very exciting and I plan to be doing more.
Being able to skate full time but working and studying on the side has been a real challenge throughout the years, this year I was lucky enough to have support for the bobby foundation which helped me alot this year with my international competitions which I am eternally grateful for and will never forget this opportunity.
I would just like to say how thankful I am for being able to have the Bobby Stafford-Bush Foundation being by my side this season.
