Athletics has been a major part of my life since the age of three, with the decathlon becoming my sole sporting focus for the past 8 years. I have never been someone to overly excel in one particular area, which is why the challenge of the decathlon drew me in – attempting to perfect 10 events over the two days of competition.

The decathlon has opened many opportunities for me, allowed me to see the world and meet some amazing people. I have competed at three World University Games, winning bronze in 2017 and gold in 2019, the Oceania Champs, where I’ve won a gold and silver medal, as well as earning an athletics scholarship to the US (Kansas State and Long Beach State Universities) where I have studied and competed over the past 4-years.

I am extremely grateful for the support of the Foundation, as it is helping me to continue to take the next steps in my sport, allowing me to compete in Europe in May and June this year at World Combined Events Tour meetings. As well as competing, I will have the opportunity to train with and learn from some of the best athletes and coaches in the world, which will allow me to bring this knowledge back to NZ and utilize for my own performance and with the athletes I work with.
